Week 7 Activity Week 7 Assignment My first choice to be a trusted comunicator was Eduardo Campos, who was one of the candidates for Brazil President this year. Sadly, he died in a plane crash in 13, august, so I chose his vice, Marina Silva.She will probably replace Eduardo Campos as candidate. Marina has a politic background focused in amazonian environment and people. She was born and raised there. Also, she is a professor, historian and won many awards, including the Champions of the Earth from United Nations in 2007. If I could advise her in her talk, Id say to: Focus the talks about Cimate change in adaptation methods to the cities, so the regular citizen can see how this issue affects their lives and what they can do about it, to assure a better life for their children and grandchildren; Explain what is the scientific consensus about the issue and show its real. Then, talk about mitigation, explaining what is it and why do we need to take action. Make sure people understand we arent doomed, but we need to change our lives. I think the IPCC summary for police makers isnt easy or obvious to diverse groups as students, business people or senior citizens. I could explain each point in an easy way, to make the comunication more clear.
