Week 8 Success Tips: Look Back: This is a good time for self-assessment. Are you sticking to your study plan? Are you caught up on reading? How are those final papers and projects coming? Are you getting enough exercise and sleep? Are there any habits you want to adjust going into the last two weeks of the term? Happenings in the School of Psychological Science: • Psy Chi Curriculum Vitae Workshop – Thursday, Nov. 20 – 6 pm Milam 123 – join us for an informational presentation by Dr. Frank Bernieri about what a Curriculum Vitae is and how it differs from a resume, as well as how to write a CV for graduate school applications. • Psychological Science Colloquium Series Winter Colloquia Schedule will be available soon. They happen every other Friday in Reed Lodge 111 from 4:00-5:00pm. Feel free to drop by! Upcoming Campus Events: • November 16-22, 2014 is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Each year, one week before Thanksgiving, National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness co-sponsor National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week. – See attached flyer for event list • Applications are now available for three alternative bring trips for March 21 to 28, 2015! – FLYERS ATTACHED - Applications are due Monday December 1, 2014 by 5pm online or to the Student Leadership & Involvement information desk in Snell 149. Students can learn more about the alternative break program, download the application packet, or apply online here: sli.oregonstate.edu/alternativebreaks.
