Week beginning 3rd August 2014 TODAY’S NOTICES 1. CAN YOU HELP WITH THE CRECHE? We need volunteers to look after the babies/toddlers on a Sunday morning during the service. You should only be on duty approx. 5 times a year. If you can help please contact Elizabeth Dick. 2. EASTWORDS: Any items for the newsletter should be given to Marion Harvie by the end of today please. Email address is on the back page. 3. RECYCLING: Larbert East Church now has a ‘blue bin’. Please do use it so we can play our part in recycling and caring for God’s world. 4. FALKIRK FOODBANK: Most needed items are: UHT and dried milk; cartons of juice (not needing kept cool); tinned vegetables, meat, fish and fruit; biscuits and snacks. The boxes are in the vestibule and at the door to the hall. 5. GIFT AID ENVELOPES are in the Vestibule or on the pews. Visitors wishing us to reclaim tax on donations made, please fill in your details on the envelope. ADVANCE NOTICES: 6. A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: The Kirk Session is planning to hold a Congregational Conference on Saturday 20th September from 10am-12 noon, when we will seek your views on the way forward for Larbert East over the next 5 years. Please keep the date and time free. More details will follow in due course. NEXT SUNDAY’S SERVICE Next Sunday the Morning Service at 10.30am will be led once again by Mrs Kay Brown. Please do come along to give Kay a warm welcome for her last Sunday leading our worship before she is ordained on 28th August and takes up her new position as assisting ordained local minister at Falkirk: Trinity Church. Next Sunday will be the 7th of this year’s 8 weeks of the Summer Sunday Club for 3-12 year olds, which meets in the Small Hall before the service. There will be tea/coffee after the service when the Traidcraft Stall will also be available. Please join us in worship next Sunday.
