Weekend Game Results Brothers v Proserpine Under 18’s – Brothers 30, Proserpine 12 Reserve – Brothers 62, Proserpine 12 A – Brothers 26, Proserpine 16 The under 18’s who have been disappointing in their games recently played a great game of football. The ball was taken up by forwards who ran hard and straight for the entire game. Proserpine who are leading the competition had no answer to the hard running and solid defence. The win was a comprehensive win and hopefully the team can carry the form through the next two games into the finals. The reserve grade also played one of their better games for the season. The defence was solid. Damian Tonga’s kicking to get two 40/20’s and pin the Proserpine team into their corners regularly was better than anything the Cowboys have produced this year. The players who stood out were Damian Tonga, Chris Bracken and Dylan Sadd. The A grade win was well appreciated by the crowd after first half mistakes and dropped balls saw Proserpine leading 16-6 at halftime. Lead by Jerome Iakemo the team reduced their mistakes in the second half and showed a glimpse of the football that the supporters have been waiting for all year. Again, hopefully if we can have the same team on the paddock for a few weeks, the A grade can carry some good form into the finals. The players who stood out were Jerome Iakemo, Michael Dalton and Logan Sullivan.
