Weekend Knapp Racing Recap Knapp Racing kicked off their weekend by racing at Race1 Motorspeedway in Dubois, PA Friday night. Alyssa Knapp #10A competed in the 7 kart Lites Class. She started 5th in the 1st heat and quickly moved up through the pack to 1st place for the win! Alyssa started 3rd in the 2nd heat and was able to move into 1st place in the 1st lap and maintain that position for the win. Her awesome finishes in the heats, enabled her to start on the pole position for the Lites feature. Alyssa was challenged by Ryan Neese on the start and restarts, but was able to pull away with a 3 kart lead and captured the checkered flag! Great Job to Ryan Neese Racing! Kyle Knapp #3 competed in the 3 kart Gold Plate Class. He started in the 2nd position for both heats and was able to pass for the lead and the wins! Kyle started on the pole for the Gold Plate Feature. He was challenged on the start by Brandon Lomax, but was able to pull away and capture the checkered flag! Great Job to Brandon Lomax and Isaac Caretti Racing! Thank You to Vince Pangallo, Cody Hummel, Chris Flumbaum, and Jen Flumbaum for their help in the pits! Knapp Racing then traveled to Blairsville Speedway Saturday to try their luck at Race #2 of the Super Dirt Series with a chance to win the $100 in each of their classes! Alyssa Knapp #10A started 3rd in the 1st heat of the 6 kart Sr Light Class. She battled with 3 other karts, but was able to move into 1st place and pull away for the win! Alyssa started 4th in the 2nd heat. She moved her way up through the pack to the lead for the win. Her awesome finishes won her the pole position for the Sr Lights Feature. Alyssa battled with Ryan Neese on the start and restart, but was finally able to pull away and grab the checkered flag and the $100! He ran in the 1st round of the Gold Plate Class, starting in 3rd position of the 5 kart heat#1. He moved his way up to 1st place and was able to pull away with a lead, until a series of cautions happened. Still after many restarts, Kyle was able to maintain the lead and take the checkered flag. He started on the outside pole of the Gold Plate Feature. Kyle took an early lead, but then dropped back to 3rd place. He caught the 2nd place kart and made the pass with 1 lap to go, then passed the leader in turn 4, taking the checkered flag and the $100! Great Job to Isaac Caretti Racing!
