Weekend Road Trip for U18 Stars (1) The Stars headed South for the Weekend. Playing in Klagenfurt on Saturday afternoon, spending the night in Kranj, Slovenia to take on the HK Triglav Kranj on the Sunday. Saturday it was the first game in a month for the Stars and it was noticeable. A few too many big turns and lack of physicality put us behind the 8 ball. KAC would score early before Adrian Rosenberger would fire a wrist shot short side to tie the game, but KAC would regain the lead before the end of the Period. 7 minutes into the second period Paul Koudelkas shot was blocked and unfortunately KAC would get a breakaway and beat Maxi Wehrhan to the glove side. Egor Baranov playing in his first game since returning from his shoulder injury would make his mark on the Power Play to bring the stars within one. But back to back goals by KAC would give them a 3 goal lead. Luka Zorman would take over the nets for the Stars and hopefully bring some new life to the lineup. The Stars rebounded very well and pressured for the rest of the game but the damage was already done. The Stars would get two more goals in the third from Dimitry Iskornev and Toon De Schepper and with the goalie pulled for the last 30 seconds would have one last chance but would be denied. Kele Steffler had a strong game for the Stars with his Klagenfurt Fan Club (Oma) looking on. KAC:STARS 5:4 (2:1, 3:1, 0:2) ow.ly/H9O5J
