Weekend chef required up to £10 P/Hr Description A Chef is required for weekends at a residential home in Swindon, in this role you will be preparing breakfast and dinner as well as plating up sandwiches and making cake for the afternoon tea. This job is a one man band so you will be responsible for cleaning down after yourself in the kitchen as well as cleaning the plates used for service. You will also be responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents. They are very hot on EHO and require you to attend training courses and supervision meetings to ensure you are up to date with current health and Safety/ Food hygiene and infection control legislation. There are only a maximum of 19 clients on site which require feeding but you also cook for friends/family and staff members. Unfortunately some of the clients require assistance with feeding and if there are no staff members to do it they will require you to help. Skills and Qualifications To successful in this job you must have a up to date Food Hygiene certificate and good communication skills. You will need to have worked in a similar environment before for a minimum of 1 years. This is not a ping pong magic kitchen you will need to be able to cook fresh food and be able to adapt routine when needed. Shifts and wages The weekend shift will be Sat/Sun – 7.30-3.00 with a 30min unpaid break you will also be required to cover the week day Chef when they are on Annual leave.
