Weekly Thought Okay, he ended up sinking like a rock, but for just a moment Peter did something amazing. He walked on water. As amazing as that feat was, perhaps just as remarkable is that he left the boat not in shallow water, not on a beautiful, calm lake day, but in the midst of a storm. Some argue that an act like that takes stupidity. But really it takes confidence. Not just a loud, self-aggrandizing, boastful kind of confidence, but the kind that truly believes a miracle is going to happen. For Peter, that belief was centered on Jesus. He had seen what He had done before and he trusted He would do it again in his life. How is your sense of trust? Are you ready to walk on water when the next storm comes? Heavenly Father, I do trust You and put myself in Your hands. I know You can do amazing things in my life! Amen.
