Weekly Update Div 1 Week 19 – AMF Rooty Hill – 22 June The division bowled 4 pins over average at Rooty Hill with 54 200 games and 17 600 series. The high game was shared by Alex Sole and Daniel Walsh with 279 each while Rafik Kocharians scored 268, Michael Marker 263, reserve David Cook 259, Shane Bond and Alan Shephard on 257, Chris Hampshire 255 and Chris Gervacio on 254. The series went to Alex with 718, Rodney Kitley and Chris Gervacio on 676, Michael Marker on 659, Andrew Parker 651 and David Latimore 650. The ladies high game went to Leigh Shephard with 257, matching her husband, followed by Kayleen Watts on 235, Leigh again on 231, reserve Heather Robertson on 230, Trudy Gould on 212 and Sarah Heath and Heather again on 211. The series went to Leigh with 653, followed by Heather 609, Kayleen on 602, Trudy 558 and Sarah on 555. Leaders Rooty Hill Knights extended their lead to 16½ points scoring 15 points on the bye while 2nd place Lidcombe Lightning lost 14-5 to Villa WoodPeckers pushing them down 2 places and WoodPeckers up 4. Bowlarama Legion claimed 2nd spot winning 13-6 while Windsor Warriors scored 14½ to be only 1 point behind Legion. Other big wins went to Wetherill Park Phoenix (14) and Rooty Hill Hurricanes (14) both teams moving up 1 spot. The high game went to Legion setting a new high for the season with 1182 while Windsor Reapers scored 1045, Castle Hill Kans scored 1022 and 1020 while Knights scored 1002. Legion scored the high series on the day with 2947, followed by Knights on 2892, while Kans scored 2851. Div 2 Week 19 – AMF Rooty Hill – 22 June The division bowled 6 pins over average at Rooty Hill with 45 20 0games and 10 600 series. The high game went to John Raftry with 267 followed by Dave Anderson with 247, Chris Greaves 246, Allan Taylor 245, Craig Brandon 244, Graeme Pulbrook 235, Craig again on 233 and Michael Campbell on 232. The series went to Chris with 688, followed by Dave on 660, Craig 656 and John 646. The ladies high game went to Kay Ginger with 230 followed by Lisa Love on 205, reserve Terri Hampshire 204 and Maria Wrublewski on 197. The series went to Terrie on 576, followed by Kay on 563, Maria on 525, Lisa 512 and Sandra Burchall 502. Leaders Bowlarama Alley Catz won 11-8 but lost ground to the teams below as Windsor Tigers scored 13 Villawood Hi Rollers 15 and Rooty Hill Hotshots 13. The other big winner on the day was Fairfield Fire with 16½ points moving up 1 spot on the table. The high game went to Hi Rollers with 1002, with Rooty Hill Jokers on 995 and Lidcombe Larrikins on 952. The series also went to Hi Rollers with 2819, with Jokers on 2795 and Alley Catz on 2755. Div 3 Week 19 – AMF Illawarra – 22 June The division bowled 1 pin over average at AMF Illawarra (up 5 pins from last visit) with 13 200 games and 1 600 series. The high game went to Matthew Smith with 235, Nathan Bracey and Christopher Taylor on 223, William Scheers 216 and Bob Quinn on 213. The male series went to Bob and John Carrer with 576 each, followed by Matthew on 575, Nathan 572 and Mike Alagich 557. The ladies high game went to Lorraine Hazelwood with 210 followed by Natasha Bracey with 203, Lorraine again on 202, Maxine Jones on 192, Lorraine again on 188 Heather Thorpe on 187 and Ros Kirkland on 180. Lorraine scored the overall high series for the day with 600, followed by Natasha with 534, Heather on 520, Maxine on 494, Ros on 489 and Marianne Keith on 484. Leaders Bowlarama Raging Bulls scored 14 to extend their lead by 1 point as 2nd place Liverpool Lions scored 12, but 3rd place Randwick Rebels scored 17 to over take Lions and claim 2nd spot by 1 point. Strathfield Storm scored 14½ to move up 3 places into 4th spot. Other big winners were Windsor Magic (15) moving up 1 spot and Illawarra Steelers with 13. High game went to Raging Bulls with 898 followed by Steelers with 894 and Windsor Mixed Nuts with 887. The series also went to Raging Bulls with 2561, followed by Lions 2527 and Steelers 2449.
