Weird that I heard this song on the radio today, I wrote a paper on this. This took me a long time in my life to come to terms with. I used to take forever on my hair, pile on the makeup which had to be the best, had to have the most expensive clothes & purses. I dated guys that expected a certain weight for me, they expected me to look a certain way. It wasnt until I met Mike that this changed. This is the lesson that I am passing on to Lexi and then I will pass it onto Peyton. You see it starts in Middle School, you become self conscious with yourself, you have other kids who pick on you. If you are happy with yourself the material things dont matter. I doubt Mike married me b/c of my makeup, or the clothes I wear.
