Weirdness abounds. I was totally exhausted after the rush, and long drive this morning, then the visual field test. I had a late lunch-sort of dinner, talked with my sister, Gloria Helling, who just got out of the hospital with a fractured tibia. (Please send her healing, prayers, love, and light). I conked out, fell into a deep sleep on the sofa - slept right through Wheel of Fortune when there was a loud knocking on my glass-sliding door. I jumped up, barely awake and raced to the door. A neighbor was standing there and asked me if I knew a neighbor with a Chihuahua dog, that one had shown up at her home, and she had it there. She gave me a flyer with her phone number. As I was walking back to the sofa - still pretty much in a daze, I thought, I wonder - does Sandy who is wheelchair bound, (another neighbor way up the street, have a Chihuahua?) I dug out my community directory and called her, and asked if she had one. Sandy replied, Yes, I have been looking for her all day! I told her that a woman said she had a Chihuahua at her home and was trying to find the owner. I gave Sandy the phone number on the flyer. Sandy asked me, Was she wearing a pink sweater? I replied, No! She was wearing a long black coat! Sandy said, What? My dog is wearing a pink sweater! I said, Oh, I thought you meant the WOMAN! She was wearing a long black coat! I have laughed out loud many times since this telephone conversation, tears are running down my cheeks while I post this from laughing again. I am so happy I found Sandys beloved dog, inadvertently. I will be laughing for days over the long black coat :) :) :) Hope this brings a smile to you, too!
