Welcome Fr. Mark! This weekend we welcome Fr. Mark Pisarek OMI to our Oblate community and parishes of St. Patrick and St. Lawrence. This first pastoral assignment in Canada will give him an opportunity to get to know the Canadian Church, practice his English and to immerse himself into the reality of daily Canadian life. Fr. Mark was born and raised in Poland. During his Oblate and priestly formation he gained pastoral experience serving in Slavutich, Ukraine, not far from the infamous Chernobyl nuclear power plant. He was ordained as an Oblate priest in 2005 and has served the Oblate mission in Shumilino, Belarus. Welcome, Fr. Mark, as you begin this new chapter in your missionary life and ministry!
