The Menominee Historic Downtown Winter Farmers Market is open INSIDE this Saturday, January 18, at the Menominee Senior Center on 905 10th Ave. Our hours are 10 am -to 2 pm. Extra punch on coupon for braving this crazy frightening weather. OUR VENDORS and OUR PRODUCTS/PRODUCE Coldwater Handmade Confections - Caramel popcorn, Scottish shortbread, almond brittle, caramels, pecan caramels, dark chocolate and milk chocolate turtles. Blueberry Pier - Jams and jellies, garlic, some onions, and some Salad mix Birch Creek Farms - White and wheat bread, cookies, gourds, birdhouses ,feeders. The Menominee Historic Downtown Farmers Market (The market is a non-profit organization. These items help defer the costs of running the market. All administrators of the market are volunteers. Your purchase of these items is very much appreciated.) - White& red potatoes, white & red onions, beets, carrots, market feed tote bags (locally made), farm market gift cards, bottled water and HOT coffee (unfortunately no whitefish as the fishermen could not get their boats out due to the weather). EBT cards from all states are accepted. Debit, Master Card, Visa and Discover card users may purchase market money at the managers booth. We are a distributor for Kids Cash for the Great Start Initiative: Menominee County. (One Kids Cash per Child present per family with purchase from participating vendors at market). We have a certified Market Manager, Master Gardeners from Wisconsin and Michigan and great vendors providing terrific products and sharing knowledge. We work with and are supported by the Menominee Downtown Business Association, Menominee Downtown Development Authority and Michigan Farmers Market Association. We are accepting new vendors for the winter market and the 2014 summer market. You can print an application from our website or pick one up at the market.
