The Lagos Muslim Meetup Group is about bringing Muslims together from across Lagos and beyond to socialize, have fun and help build something beautiful, together. We will incorporate events but this Meetup is about more than just socializing. Creating a platform where you meet other local progressive Muslims and get together in an open, compassionate and non-judgmental environment. We welcome new Muslims, old Muslims, and Muslims in mixed-faith relationships. Our goal is to build a community in Lagos based on the core Islamic values of compassion, equality, social justice, and human rights. A place where you can be Muslim and be yourself! Setting up Muslims for Progressive Values and creating opportunity to network with other Muslim Professionals from all over the state in a social and informal setting, to make new friends and contacts, in both professional and social arenas. To get together and support each other in any way possible, including supporting our youth by setting an example. To give you an idea of some of our values we believe if you say you are a Muslim, you are a Muslim. We believe we are all equal before Allah swt, irrespective of sect, ethnicity and gender,.... We also have a huge focus on charity as well as bringing all ages and backgrounds together. All are welcome, whatever your background, whatever your age, whatever your profession.
