Welcome back everyone to your regularly scheduled days. No doubt - TopicsExpress

Welcome back everyone to your regularly scheduled days. No doubt its going to be a busy day and week catching you up on the latest restaurant happenings, so hold on to your restaurant seats. Speaking of which, we first wanted to share with you one of the most interesting videos (trust us, its worth watching the entire piece) weve seen in a long time when it comes to sushi making and the future of restaurants. The reporter in the video takes us into a trade show in Tokyo where we see sushi robots as he called it, but basically, machines, that can produce 1 sushi piece per second, and can roll sushi rolls through a tunnel and folding machine. We even see the conveyor built (which is well known in Japan) and table ordering taken to the next level. Now this begs the question, is this the future not just for sushi restaurants but for many other easily adapted restaurants? Do you feel a machine can be more precise and consistent with your food? Will it replace the need for waiters? Let us know what you think. But keep in mind, there was a kosher restaurant in downtown Manhattan called Sushein that had a conveyor belt, but it was sold and closed in about a year (but it closed for many other reasons besides the belt).
