United Way Education AmeriCorps VISTA Project: Launching Year 2 Do you know someone passionate about making a difference and looking to become more involved/gain experience in United Way, Education, or the nonprofit field in general? United Way Worldwide is excited to announce we are now recruiting 45 AmeriCorps VISTA Members to support United Way’s impact in Education. These VISTA Members will join a trailblazing 33-member team from Year 1 to expand or launch cradle-to-career education initiatives in 28 communities across the United States. All positions promote or leverage volunteer engagement strategies to create lasting impact in their United Way’s community. VISTA Members are unique Volunteers who make a 12 month, full-time commitment in service to anti-poverty efforts. In return for their service, VISTA Members receive a modest living allowance and either an Education Award ($5700) or Cash Stipend ($1500).
