Welcome to 2015! In many ways, this will be an exciting and inspiring year for the Faerieworlds / Mythicworlds / FaerieCon Family. We thank all of you for your passionate support for Faerieworlds during our challenging times last Spring. With gratitude for all of our wonderful years in Eugene, we are excited to begin a new era of Faerieworlds under the glorious canopy of fir trees at the famed Horning’s Hideout just outside of Portland and a new date: Labor Day Weekend. Your response and support for our move has been overwhelmingly positive and we promise you that Faerieworlds 2015 will fulfill many of our mutual dreams for the festival and be our best event ever! 2015 will introduce our new indoor event in February, Mythicworlds Seattle, formerly FaerieCon West. Based on your feedback, we wanted to deepen your experience of the art, authors, music and philosophies that form the creative and spiritual center of our lives. Mythicworlds celebrates world creators in all media and explores the fantastic worlds of folklore and fantasy with amazing artists, authors and musicians and the best convention shopping experience (outside of Faerieworlds!) on the West Coast. Watch for our announcement of our new Mythic Workshops next week and sign up for an intimate “deep dive” into the worlds of our special guests. FaerieCon begins its ninth year in 2015 in the completely renovated Wyndham Hunt Valley Inn. All aspects of the hotel will be new in November, which will greatly enhance your experience of the show. FaerieCon continues to grow in size and popularity, as evidenced by our record breaking 2014. Once again, 2015 will bring you the finest international faerie and fantasy authors, artists and bands, and the famous shopping experience of the Mythic Marketplace. Look for new Workshops, Programming and more of everything you love about FaerieCon! We were deeply touched by the outpouring of memories and emotion from the Faerieworlds / Mythicworlds / FaerieCon Family for Mark Lewis. His generous personality and gifts for captivating storytelling delighted us all; now we carry those moments in our hearts. Your response touched us deeply: here was the compassionate heart of Faerieworlds embracing a beloved member of the family; this is what the Faerieworlds community is all about.
