Welcome to 2015! Most of the WREMO team are back on deck after a peaceful Christmas and New Year break. Hopefully you got to spend time in the places you love with those you care about. Its going to be a busy year for us, with community response plans rolling out around more of the region, more tsunami blue lines, more emergency training for people in the community, more working with schools and other community organisations on their emergency plans, and ShakeOut 2015! Hopefully we can maintain our record of being the most involved region for that. No doubt there will be a few - okay, who am I kidding? - more than a few Severe Weather Warnings, and probably even a few incidents that need our input, but well be here keeping you up to date when things get to be more than just an inconvenience. Well also be here helping communities connect with each other, since being part of your community and neighbourhood is just as an important part of emergency preparedness as storing water and having emergency supplies. Id much rather be posting positive things about prepared communities than emergency updates any day! So heres to 2015! We hope its a good one. - Kerry
