Welcome to APPRECIATION CHALLENGE: Day 16 of 66: Appreciation is close friends with acceptance. You can enter appreciation by first accepting. I like to notice what day it is, then tune in to my whole-body experience of accepting what day it is, then let that experience spread to other aspects of me. What five aspects/qualities/attributes about you can you give acceptance to today? Examples: • I accept and appreciate my strong structure. • I accept and appreciate my keen hearing. • I accept and appreciate my awareness of peoples needs. • I accept and appreciate my awareness of feelings about to flow. • I accept and appreciate knowing when I want alone time. For those new to the challenge, heres what were up to: This challenge is intended to create a new habit (takes average of 66 days) of appreciating starting with you (often the last to get attention, admit it). Were using the 5/1 ratio of appreciations to criticisms that was established by John Gottmans work (thriving relationships have at LEAST a 5/1 ratio of a/c).
