Welcome to Culinary Homeschool. This is a new business I’m starting. My goal is to get people back in the kitchen and cooking. I want to teach people to enjoy cooking and the satisfaction one feels after preparing a delicious meal. I know I have successfully prepared a meal for my family when there is silence at my table,…not because they have nothing nice to say but because they are too busy eating. I’m offering to help with any facet of cooking. The sessions can be individuals or groups, male or female, basics to specific recipes. I can help with selecting ingredients (field trip to grocery store), basic butchering, grilling and smoking, and of course a myriad of other cooking techniques. My primary goal will be to teach you how to read a recipe. I know this sounds simple, but you would be surprised how many people have difficulty with this. By teaching you this important skill, you will soon be able to tackle any recipe with confidence. At this point you may be wondering,” what are your qualifications?”. I am not a chef. I’m a home cook, just like you. I have studied thru books and of course trial and error for more than 15 years. I honestly feel that I have been led to this by my Lord and savior. It is for his glory, and that is my greatest qualification. I can cook everything from my mamas good ole southern comfort favorites like fried chicken and collard greens to French bistro favorites like filet mignon with sauce béarnaise and potatoes dauphinoise au gratin. Fees will be negotiated on an individual basis based on your need. If you have a question about food or recipes, message me and I will get you an answer.
