Welcome to Friday friends of EYEC, We began our morning with language group time were the children gathered on the mat and we began with the today song. We then explored the days of the week and months of the year. We sang our ABCs and then we explored each letter of the alphabet and we tried finding the first letter of their name. Children then explored the alphabet in Arabic using flashcards. Children repeated after the educator. Children then participated in a discussion on sun safety. Children described what sun safety and how to keep safe in the sun. Children participated well and further developed their knowledge on sun safety. Children then sang their favorite songs such as BINGO, Bumble bee, and 3 cheeky monkeys. We then moved on to manipulative play were the children were gathered to the mat and the educator placed the cars on the mat and encouraged the children to pick a car and they did so. Children then were encouraged to describe the cars and they did so correctly. Children then began racing them up and down on the mat. Children made car noises and they were yelling im going the fastest. Children showed a high interest in this activity. We then moved onto dramatic play were the children were gathered to the mat and the educator announced that we were going to sang and dance to here we go around the mulberry bush. Children joined hands and began dancing and singing the song. Children encouraged each other to dance and sing. Children further developed social skills and listening skills. Children showed a high interest in this activity. We then moved onto school readiness were the children gathered to the table and they went through flashcards such as letters, number, colors and shapes. children named them and then we traced random shapes and numbers
