If you … • have stage fright? • have less confidence to speak in public, in office, in classroom …. • are going to face a job interview • like to brush up on presentation and public speaking skills Course Title: Developing presentation and public speaking skills Course Schedule: Friday: 9am to 12pm; 3.30-6.30pm & 6.30-9.30pm Other day: 6.30-9.30pm Course Duration: 8 Sessions, 3-hour per session, one session each week (2 months) Group size: Maximum 30 participants per group. Course Fee: For service holders: BDT 8,000 for full two months course; For students: BDT 5, 000 for full two months course; Mode of payment: In cash at LSF office at Dhanmondi Target group: • Corporate professional working in various sectors ranging from Executive to General Manager/Vice President; • Job seekers; • Educationist; • Self employed • Students of universities; Facilitated by: • Public Speakers (communication expert professionals/professional speakers); • Professional Presenters(leading media personality/news presenters/producers); • Seminar Leaders (entrepreneurs and sector-wise experienced professionals); • Workshop Leaders (entrepreneurs and sector-wise experienced professionals); • Corporate professionals working in different fields (Senior management level employees from different corporate sectors); • Lecturers from universities/Institutions. Mission: To unleash the untapped opportunities of the participants focusing on improving their soft skills which is the gateway to export their hard skills; Course Focus: The motto of this forum is to learn how to present with power, communicate with confidence and persuade with ease. We are here to develop our presentation and communication skills; Course Contents (Major): 1. Set and achieve goals; 2. Overcoming fear of speaking, managing speech anxiety & time management; 3. Transforming ideas into speech points, understanding text, develop writing skills & create articles; 4. Arts of listening, understanding speeches & note making (audience analysis); 5. Vocal variety, fluency and self-expression & arts of body language; 6. Evaluate others, inspire the audience, persuasive strategies and mentor-ship; 7. Discovering unique strength and weaknesses; 8. Job interview meetings; Session Pattern: Program Schedule for 3.00 hours session: First 60 minutes/each session 20minutes: Short speech..1/2 minutes per speaker for 12/15 speakers. The theme of speech will be decide instantly by the moderator or among the participants; 40minutes: Long speech..4/5 minutes per speaker for 8/10 speakers. The theme will be predetermined. The speaker will write the speech.. will take preparation at home for the speech. This will give the speaker opportunity to become a writer, reader, increase vocabulary and overcome fear of speaking and manage speech anxiety. Next 60 Minutes 10minutes: Refreshment and informal discussions & prayer break. 20minutes: Evaluation by the panel speaker. The panel speaker will evaluate and give presentation on the usages of grammar, tense, sentence making, phrase & transitional words, unnecessary words and sounds, time management, voice quality and the secrets of body languages of short and long speakers. Lecture & discussion by the panel speaker. 30minutes: The panel speaker will make a presentation from any one of our 8 topics. Lecture & discussion by the panel speaker. Last 60 minutes 60minutes: The guest speaker will make a speech/presentation from any one of our 8 topics or his/her own that also will cover our purpose to develop our presentation and public speaking skills. Lecture & discussion by the guest speaker. Course Requirements 1. Transforming ideas into speech points; 2. Note making (audience analysis); 3. Time management ; 4. Vocal variety, fluency and self-expression ; 5. Understanding text, Develop writing skills & Create articles ; 6. Group discussion; 7. Job interviews meetings ; 8. Building positive attitudes; 9. Individual presentation ; 10. Maintain deadlines for all assignments; 11. On time attendance; 12. Formal dressed-up; 13. Bringing camera or mobile by the participant that support video recording for speech; so that participant can work at home; Day learning log: At the end of the session, listening to the participants about their learning of the day.
