Welcome to Saturday Forum. A couple of small business owners felt we should poll them (rather than the population at-large) about minimum wage. Two also PMd me to explain that since business owners (not workers) are the ones taking the risk and creating the jobs, any poll not weighing in their favor was biased against them. Since there is no way to prevent non-business owners from voting in an online poll, lets allow them to discuss their rationale here for eliminating, lowering, or in three cases I know of, raising minimum wage. Others are invited too, of course. If it should be eliminated or lowered, why? If eliminated, how do we prevent deadbeats from simply quitting work and going in the dole? Should wages paid depend on business revenue? What should a business provide for its employees? ~Kim
