Welcome to Star*City Yangon, a massive mixed-use real estate project carried out by Serge Pun’s business empires Yoma and First Myanmar Investments. Sitting on an area of 420 acres of land on the banks of the Bago River, Star*City offers its (soon-to-be) residents a location away from the bustle and hustle of downtown. The luxury development’s architecture and layout is fairly generic and could place it anywhere in the world. The only road connection to Yangon is a two-lane highway that appears already to be over capacity. Despite the short distance getting downtown can take up to one hour. A golf course partially surrounds the compound towards the undeveloped river front.
