Welcome to Thursday friends! Our Amazing preschoolers began their Morning with a little cognitive activity. the children moved the colored Animals around the activity box as well as place them where they think they belong. the children engaged in positive interactions throughout the whole activity and were able to socialize with educators as well as their friends. the children were then transitioned to the bathroom then back on the tables for some morning tea. The children were then transitioned on the Mat for a language group time with educator Maria. The children sung a variety of their favorite nursery rhymes such as BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP, OPEN SHUT THEM, HAMMER HAMMER HAMMER, GALOOMP, 5 LITTLE DUCKS, MISS POLLY HAD A DOLLY, BINGO, BABY CROCODILE AND 5 CHEEKY MONKEYS. the children then read a book called " Chicken - Licken. the children enjoyed the story as smiles were evident through out the whole story. The children then explored their sensory skills as well as their creative skills in a hand and feet painting experience. the children painted their feet and their hands and printed them on pink & blue paper. The children began to giggle as they said " it tickles Miss Mounefa." the children were then transitioned outdoors for some physical activity! The children developed on their Gross Motor skills outdoors with their friends, the children participated in the Obstacle course, hopscotch, hide and seek, home corner, drawing and School readiness. In school readiness, the children focused on various letters, and wrote their first names as well as their last names using their tripod grasps. Great job children! we had a very productive day here in the pre-school room, we look forward to seeing all our friends again soon!h
