Welcome to Tuesday friends of EYEC, We began our morning with Language group time. Children were gathered to the mat and the children bean with the today song. Children sang five little ducks, BINGO. and Old McDonald had a farm, Children then explored the alphabet both in English and Arabic. Children repeated after the educator. Children did well to repeat after the educator. Children then explored object flashcards. Children were encouraged to name the object and what the object is used for. Children did well and further developed language and listening with this activity skills. Children listened to the educator read a story called Fairy shopping. Children then were encouraged to describe what happened in the story and children did so correctly and confidently. Children then moved onto the mat were the educator placed the shape blocks. Children were encouraged to get a handful and place them in front of them. Children did so. Children then were encouraged to name the shape and the color and children did so correctly. Children then were encouraged to build with the shape blocks. Children began talking together working out what they were going to make. Children decided to make a ship. Children displayed a high interest in this activity. Children further developed language skills, thinking skills and fine motor skills. Children then moved onto art and craft and as a spontaneous activity of painting a monkey. Children used the color brown. hildren also used glitter to decorate their monkey. Children were encouraged to name the animal they were painting and children correctly and confidently named the animal as monkey
