Welcome to Wednesday, Todays Scripture reading (Matthew 8:1-13 & Luke 7) has me thinking about how some of the people were thinking about both John the Baptist and Jesus. Who should they follows? Who had the most important message from God. And I am encouraged that both of these men were committed to speak praise of the other. Both recognized their unique role and gave great praise to the other. What a beautiful example of how Gods people can all respond to each other. It doesnt matter whether you have a greater or a smaller role to play in our service to the Living God. It is my holy privilege to affirm the work that YOU are doing and to affirm you with all others who speak or think of you. Who have I affirmed today? Who have I praised and encouraged today? Let me begin this sacred call by telling all of you reading this post something that is important and true: We have an amazing collection of 5 part time staff members at our church. They are a young, energetic and deeply spiritual group of people. They love Jesus and long to serve not just our church members - but our community.
