Welcome to all of Alyssas new likers. She is excited that she has new friends. Please continue to share Alyssas Facebook page . Today was outpatients day at The Childrens Hospital. What a big day. 5 hours including an xray, neurologist, orthopedics and an Occupational Therapist appointment. We even met Dr Harry Cooper and 1992 Melbourne Cup Winner Sub Zero which Alyssa got to feed and pat. Some good news, Alyssas scoliosis is mild, she is well within herself and we are looking into get a sling which will help her move her arms. Bad news is Alyssa has been diagnosed with Madelungs Syndrome which means one of her forearm bones is shorter than the other forearm bone. This is causing her alot of pain. Surgery is going to be avoided at this stage and hoping the splint on her wrist will stop it from getting worse. Unfortunately its hurtung so much, she does not want to driver her power chair anymore :-( Now we are heading home. Hope you all had a great day.
