Welcome to another Monday morming my chirpy chickens although I’m sure a lot of you aren’t feeling to chirpy. :-( Over the last couple of days we’ve caught up with all the action movies so after some debate we have started on the documentaries much to Alfies delight. We were watching one last night about a fella called Shackelton who was a famous explorer a long long time ago. Now for those of you that didn’t pay attention in history class Shackelton and some of his mates took a boat down to the South pole and promptly got stuck in the ice. (nobody said he was a GOOD explorer). Anyhow they were stuck for ages and eventually the ice squished the boat and they were all left standing on the ice feeling really stupid. All his mates said to Shackelton “You got us into this you plonker so now you can get us out of it”. Now you would think he would just have gone into the depressions. His great explore had turned into a real feck up and to make matters worse his insurance didn’t cover the boat for ice squishing. (always read the small print) Howevet Shackelton was not a giver uper and he had a plan. He gathered together some of his best pals and using a little lifeboat that had avoided being crushed they set off to get help. He was definitely better at organising rescues than he was at exploring because he did a 800 mile trip through stormy waters, climbed big glaziers and crossed mountains to get help for his stranded crew. He returned with the rescue boat and the cry of “Who’s a plonker now”? He got Knighted by the Queen for that as it became known as one of the great survival stories of all time. Obviously no one has told her about the time I got put out in the garden for a poop and was forgotten about for 3HRS. That’s what I said 3HRS and it almost rained and I hadn’t had my breakfast and that mad cat Taz from next door wandered by. He didn’t do anything but he might have. Anyway I still have nightmares about it. Anyhow this got us to thinking maybe we should take on a great exploration to try and get the Queens attention and speed up my Dameship. Dad has been put in charge of coming up with something that’s never been done before and we agreed it best to play to our skills. The best way to do that is to not do anything involving your weaknesses. 1. Layla and Lucy won’t do open stairs. No idea why 2. Not that that matters as I can’t do stairs or climbing or low steps or anything that in my blurry vision looks like a step. EG a line in the road. 3. We don’t like a to hot 4. We don’t like cold 5. We don’t like rain 6. We don’t like snow 7. We don’t like missing our meals 8. We need our 18 hrs sleep 9. We don’t want to go anywhere with animals that might eat dogs 10. We need to be able to keep up with Judge Judy and Jeremy Kyle So we’ve told him to wake us when he’s ready...
