Welcome to the 11th ACSS conference: Post-Asia Film, Media and Popular Cultures at the University of Macau (old campus) in Taipa. Between 8:30 to 10:30 am on Monday 14th July 2014, there will be student helpers at the bus stops for Service No. 37 and 37U at the front and rear of the old campus in Taipa, respectively, to direct you to the conference venue which is located near the front of the university. See Maps II, III and IV. No. 37 is a free shuttle bus. It departs from a side street called Nanking Street behind Hotel Altira (a huge grey tower). 37U leaves from the new campus, in front of the Postgraduate House. Make sure you board the bus that heads for Taipa (氹仔). The exact fare is MOP2.80; no change given. I am posting the 4 maps here so that you can better orientate yourselves in regards to the location of the university with respect to Macau (Map I) and also in regards to its immediate surrounding such as Taipa Square Hotel and Grandville Hotel where some of you are staying (Map III). Map II marks out the conference venue in relation to the old campus; the venue is at the front of the campus. Map IV shows the new campus in Hengqin Island (which is about 10 km from the old campus); here is found the Postgraduate House which offers hostel accommodation. See you at the conference!
