We get so used to the way things are that we tend to forget that another way may be more…, oh, let’s see, efficient, effective, customer friendly, supplier friendly, employee friendly, management friendly, and friendly friendly. Just better! I suggest that occasionally you take a step out of current reality and re-think things. You say to yourself, “The way we are doing things is wrong. If we were going to do it right, how would we do it?” You tendency may be to tell yourself that the current mode is the best way. If so, you definitely haven’t gotten into the right frame of mind. Remember, current mode is wrong. Restraints are gone. Now how would you do it the “right” way? Part of the exercise is forcing yourself to develop other methods than the current ones. Push yourself to actually think and imagine. But our current ways are the best ways! No. You just think so. You are being lazy and complacent. Perfection Theory says the current state can’t be the ultimate, and never will be. Thank you for reading this note. Forward to someone with imagination .
