They formed from the remnants of a Ronnie Hawkins backup band and included future composer David Foster as an early member. The first of their two albums released 3 singles, the best-known of which includes the following lyrics. The song went to #9 on the BIllboard Hot 100 in the spring of 1973. Name the band and the song. After learning to play the piano at the age of 4, her first public appearance was only 4 years later, on the Horn and Hardart Childrens Hour. She and her first husband worked as a secretary and a chemist respectively while writing songs together in the evenings after their kids went to bed. This song was one of the singles from an album released in 1971; it topped out at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Again, artist and song please!
