Welcome to this weeks edition of our Weekly Whiskey Wednesday. This weeks featured whiskey is a twist on one of todays most celebrated selections. Knob Creek today is known for its undeniably big, full flavor that strikes your senses with its maple sugar aroma and distinctive sweetness.This is the way most bourbons used to be before prohibition. Booker Noe, grandson to Jim Beam, wanted this taste profile back. He wanted to bring that opulent distinctiveness back to the bourbon world and its consumers. Thats just what he did! Knob Creek Small Batch is full bodied and bottled at 100 proof, Knob Creek Single Barrel is bottled at 120 proof and Knob Creeks newest edition, Smoked Maple is bottled at 90 proof. Booker Noe used to craft his own maple syrup and smoke his own meats. Booker Noe also had a motto, Everything is better with bourbon. So as a tribute to him, Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon was born. They took the three things he had true passion for and combined them into one incredible new selection. Knob Creek Smoked Maple is a rich copper in color. On the nose, bold aromas of smoked hickory and maple can be easily detected. The Smoked Maple is full bodied with solid structure. The savory flavor of maple is first noticed, then is complimented with hints of smoke. Delightful undertones of rich vanilla and caramel are quick to follow. The finish is lasting, smokey, smooth and slightly sweet. As always, Whiskey Wednesday is performed every Wednesday night from 5pm to 7pm. Please enjoy responsibly.
