Relevant working experience (Structural & Piping) in Construction & Fabrication Industry with good knowledge of subsea/projects as per codes & standards like AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3/B31.8, API-2A/2B, ASME B&PVC Section-IX/II(Part-C)/ VIII (Div-I, II), API 1104. Candidate should be familiar with Shell DEP’s, Total, Exxonmobil, DNV, Chevron & BP standards Familiar with welding and NDT processes Must possess good knowledge of carbon steel metallurgy Must have a working knowledge of welding CRA materials Preferably a good practical knowledge of Automatic welding Preferably has the ability to weld using GMAW, SMAW, FCAW and GTAW Nice to have: Oil & Gas welding / NDT experience (e.g., Jacket, Topsides, FPSO, Subsea, Pipelines, etc…) Main accountabilities: Manage and supervise yard production engineering activities and fabrication methods according to contract requirements and projects objectives. Ensure time, cost, quality, safety and environmental protection objectives are met through the coordination of the projects engineering and methods team and involved centres. Provide methodologies and tools, manage the availability of qualified personnel, their training and development. Promote an active interaction with project team key functions Ensure that fabrication cycle is carried out with full respect of group and project specific quality and HSE procedures Define the project engineering organisation charts, staffing and personnel roles with engineering discipline departments and define list of activities and deliverables, setup time schedule, coordinate activities in accordance with contractual requirements Qualification of Welding Procedures Writing Welding Procedures Organization and execution of project welder qualification Review tender documentation and advise the project of welding requirements Metallurgical and destructive testing witnessing Review of NDT procedures Evaluation of barge and spool-base QC results and corrective action reports Execution of welding lab R & D projects and development of new welding techniques and processes Specification of welding consumables to procurement department Failure Analysis Liaison with client’s welding engineers on project specific requirements Liaison with warehouse men, expeditor and purchaser for the delivery of material & consumables Additional information: Possess good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to work with colleagues of various levels. Good command of spoken and written English (in addition to other regional / local languages). Good report writing and computer utilization skills (WORD, EXCEL, PROJECT and AutoCAD) Possess analytical skills and be able to utilize it with engineering process knowledge to maximize results.
