Well - we are back from the CT scan and have already spoken with the regular doctor and the surgeon. The good news is that she does not need to have surgery. The bad news is that she has a really bad case of pneumonia that surgery would not help. She will now be put on a new IV antibiotic and will be in the hospital for more time (until she is showing signs that the antibiotic is working and she is able to eat and drink normally again.) They are working on finding a good antibiotic and it will take around 3 weeks (or more) for her to recover. Her left lung is filled with A LOT of infection still and there is some in her right lung. We now wait for infectious disease doctors to help find the right effective antibiotic to help her. Thanks again for your continued prayers! They do make a difference!
