Well Colleen and I went to Mule night, and we had such a good time I was not going to tell this story. But I made a mistake of telling my Granddaughter Lynsy Mackum what happened so that little fire cracker was not happy about it to say the least. But this is very strange to happen in a small town. Colleen and I said good bye to our friends we were sitting with listening to the music,and we told them we had to be getting home I had to get Kenny a funnel cake before we left. We stopped at this one little place and there was a long line. they were waiting on people from both sides. so there was a double line. I was about half way down our line and I told Colleen some one is shooting paper wads or something at me, I felt a couple hit my head and then one hit my ear. It never felt good for sure. I said it had to be someone I knew I’m 77 years old now who is going to shoot a pea shooter at an old woman. I remember years ago in study hall I felt those before. well I was sure going to tell them to quit when I found who did it. Then Colleen said Oh mom its some young kid look over in the other line see the woman and man laughing. then I seen the pea shooter the twelve or thirteen year old boy was holding. OMG I could not believe it he had a little brother around ten and they were in line with other people. the woman and man were laughing every time he would shoot me. wow some parents teach their kids to shoot strangers maybe that is where the shooters come from. Parents like that. today pea shooter tomorrow real guns. Wow Colleen was upset about it, so I spoke up and called him a couple of names and one of them insinuated his parents were not married when he was born. I said you little *********************. If you shoot me one more time I will walk right over there and kick you in the face. His mother and father stopped laughing. I have never been in Jail and I had such a good time Mule night. but I was ready to go, Just to beat all those people up. The people right behind me could not believe it. I still can’t.
