Well Dad ( John Dossey), apparently Ive continued the family tradition of appliance fires! First you with the can in tbe microwave (wasnt it a spaghetti can about 35 years ago? And dont forget the ketchup volcano!), then Becky with the pizza bottom about 30 years ago in the stove (where she put out the fire, in an ELECTRIC stove by dumping water on it! Bill decided to be a funny man a few years ago and said the pizza was on fire. I believed him and raced over to the oven thinking I forgot to take the bottom off! I almost smacked him! Well, I now know that, while Steak & Shake wraps everything else in paper, the hot dogs are wrapped in foil! I put them i microwave. Not 3 seconds later I hear weird popping and see pretty colors then smell something burning! Raced over to open it and see fire filling the microwave! So, calm, collected Sandy, freaked out, slammed it shut , started jumping up and down (yeah like thats gonna put out a fire IN A MICROWAVE!) and shouting BILL, FIRE! Not a nice way to wake up someone taking a nap on the couch! But he saved the day! He got the fire into the sink, opened the windows and swept up the charred mess, then went back to sleep while I stood there like an idiot. Blonde lesson for the day; dont put foil in microwave for even one second! EVER!
