Well Day 4 of my life with Dixie (my newly named Kidney, given she had to be related to Dexter!!!) and the wonderful medical team have been around this morning & they are very pleased with my progress. I am now doing some laps around the ward to get me moving & in the next couple of days will get the 9 kilos of fluid off me that they pumped me full of when I had the transplant!!! I am missing my puppy dogs, Chlo Chlo, Waggles & Hollybolly. And Airlie is with her new foster carers getting ready for her next surgery & I also miss her after she has been part of the Hanby pack for nearly 6 months, she has a piece of my heart with her...... But she will be very well cared for by Bernard Townson & Jean Given my second chance for a healthy & Dexter free life, I continue to advocate for people to consider becoming a donor. If you are a registered donor, please also talk to your family & loved ones about it as well - statistics show that although a person can register as a donor, it is the family during their grieving process when they have lost their loved one, overturn the donors wishes & stops the donation. I am a registered donor for any parts they can use as this experience has given me a life saving & life changing opportunity to be with my family, help children at risk & of course my passion, rescue & rehome beautiful Golden Retrievers. So please consider, speak with your family & register to become a donor. Thank you all again for the lovely messages of love & support from my family & friends xxxx
