Well FB Family. The community discussion at The Olympian tonight - TopicsExpress

Well FB Family. The community discussion at The Olympian tonight was a interesting event. There were people represented from every demographic for sure. I was glad to see that. I will say I was very impressed that people that help in with our Street Family were on the panel. There was a wide range of questions asked and as always some people that brought some extra drama with that they are sooooo scared to go downtown. I do find it interesting that myself, Ami Renecker and Jerry Beaber had our hands raised for over an hour to ask a question and the person from The Olympian seemed to be editing who was able to ask questions. I knew he would not call on me as I was wearing a I Am Crazy Faith shirt. I know he was probably told before hand or made up his own mind not to call on me on purpose. LOL. But 2 of our CF Crew did get called on to ask questions. I am not sure if Shane Renecker ever did get his questions answered at all by the police chief or City Council Member Roe. City councils answers were pretty much passing the buck pretty often and did not really give a founded answer for much. I am not sure if I am surprised at that. Fury Riccio, was able to ask a question about public bathrooms and parking. Again, city council member seemed to have passed the buck and actually asked that regular citizens raise $100k to put a one stall bathroom in downtown. I suggested that they quite buying over priced art to try to decorate downtown. Also they said that parking was not a issue but signs to let people know where parking is. I am not sure if you have spent much time downtown but there is not enough. Which is funny because if DT is so bad and no one goes down there like they claim why is there no parking. LOL. Rosies, Sidewalk, the new shelter going in DT and the banker that was on the panel impressed me the most. The banker guy did a great job and called the city out on some things that were sooooooooo true. The city counsel needs to get out of the real estate business and concentrate on what they are suppose to do. And to find the solutions that are working alllllllll over the country instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. I do hope the city actually heard what many of the valid solutions that were offered to them instead of doing what they regularly do is just listen, nod and do whatever they want to begin with. That my friends is not a public servant. And I think we are all tired of seeing those voted in do just that. Overall it was another beginning of the same issues that have been being talked about for a couple decades. We will see how this goes. All I do know is the city did not want Crazy Faith there asking questions tonight and did not want to recognize that we are a part of the solution instead of a part of the problem. So I will continue to pray for them. Thank you to all those that came down to help show support. Denise Charles, Cedar, Hunter, Jerry, Tenacious E Murphy (Eli), Shelly Jorgensen, Michael Arehart, Fury, Ami, Shae, Liz and Lynette. I love that Crazy Faith rolls as a crew. Gods Gang!!! Love you. Chief
