Well, FBers, I went to a back specialist at KU Med Center today after having a myelogram. The result show that there were no abnormalities in the spinal column. There is lots of scar tissue but nothing that can be corrected by additional surgeries or additional medications. Since I cant walk more than a couple or three minutes at a time...there are no good prospects for improvements in my condition. He recommended that I go to a pain management specialist and investigate the possibilities that they present. One option might be having an implant for pain management. Otherwise I need to begin a regimen of walking, stairstepping, elliptical, or bicycle (stationary) riding. Since all of these involve the same muscles, any change will have to be gradual and hopefully it will make a difference. I have an appointment with a pain management specialist at KU Med Center in two weeks and see what they can suggest. I will try to post more as I try to work through this. At the present rate of travel, I am gradually getting worse instead of better. Something has to give...
