Well I actually caught a flight today that wasnt delayed, it certainly wasnt cancelled :-) Interesting selection of fellow passengers. The usual pin stripe suit/ cashmere overcoat brigade making those oh so important last minute phone calls on their smart phones as the plane taxis down the runway (chances are theyre forward ordering a take away or an escort agency, perish the thought) and Swedish families returning home from a long weekend in London. Do their kids have a lot of school holidays or is this parent assisted truant? In amongst the usual motley crew however were a couple of notables. A row in front, but thank God on the other aisle was the Swedish snoring champion. This guy, looking like a geriatric Bassett hound was sending out the zs before we took off and didnt awake from his slumber until the 10 minutes to landing announcement came over the tannoy. I hate snoring and this was Champions League stuff, enough to put a wild boar to shame and forceful enough to have blown the plane off its route. I had a Jacky Chan lookalike sitting in front of me and he spent long periods just starting at this guy. I kept thinking come on Jacky, show him some moves and put him out of his misery. Alas this Jacky Chan was a tolerant chap. We also had a bizarre demonstration of European fashion in the form of a lady (40s??) sporting a pair of compression running leggings with patent leopard patterned shoes, topped off with a probable M&S cardigan....nice...Gok Wan would weep. Only another three flights between now and Thursday. :-D
