Well, I came out as gay and as an atheist to my mother a few days ago. As a result our relationship is deteriorating at a rapid pace. She is a clinical therapist, who graduated from liberty university, in addition she is a conservative Christian. She says that my choice to be gay is destroying my family, and my mother herself has expressed in disappointment with who am I. She is already beginning to sever ties with me and when she is done it may just be short of being disowned. In addition I currently live with another family member who is more dogmatic than her and if they find out im gay I could very well get kicked out. Im alone, this is really the only family I have and something like my orientation is causing such a dramatic response. My mother is even suggesting im just saying this to cause drama, she also said I imagined my molestation as a child as well. So im very scared and not knowing what to do next. I dont really know how to deal with this.
