Well I could write a short novel on our trip to Peachland. lol Good news first..... Mom was released by Oncologist. Cancer medicine till Nov. and a bone density test at Monroe in June or July. Heart doctor said Mom looked good considering the stress she was under with Dad. The swelling in her leg is due to poor circulation, needs to keep it elevated, but no blood clot. Thank you Lord for this good news! Dad needs to be on oxygen but refuses. He was on oxygen after a hospital stay when he had to start dialysis. He used it five days a took it off. The Dr. saw it was no use to argue with Clamon Sanders, and he told me later Dad wouldnt remember it 5 minutes later anyway. Oxygen level was 89%. That contributes to the memory problems and It drops even lower at night. He could have heart failure or a stroke. You can lead a stubborn mule to water but you cant force him to drink. I mean no disrespect to my Dad but those who know him understand completely. His memory issues just complicate it further. We did have some things to happen that were comical. Johnny was on the roof because of a leak from clogged gutters. I hear a loud thump and bang. I ran out in my black Shadowline gown set and Johnny had fallen and skinned his knee. I am holding the ladder dragging a water hoses still in my fancy night gown. Glad there was very little traffic. lol (Johnny waited till we were leaving to come home to tell me he almost fell off the roof but for the satellite dish). At the Dr.s office I got Dad back out to the wait area with Johnny and went back to be with Mom for her turn. Dads shirt tail was out because the Dr. had listened to his heart. He proceeded to drop his pants to tuck it in. lol There was only one lady out there waiting. Johnny said, Wait, wait Clamon go in the bathroom to do that! Dad, Oh h---l it wont take but a minute. I had not heard my Dad use such language since he was saved. If you encounter him and he is using words he shouldnt please know he has never had much of a filter. If he thought it he said it. Just many more bad words now.... he has no filter as the Dr. said......To all my unmarried and newly married fb friends you know it is true love when your mate will clean the gutters and almost fall off a roof, clean a clogged grain with a drain snake, try to keep his father-in-law from mooning people, drive you in Charlotte traffic at 5:00 and treat your elderly parents like he would his own. I LOVE YOU JOHNNY WILLIAMS! I know I am blessed. Also he taught his son Curtis Williams well. When we got to Moms, Curtis (with my sweet Jades help) had cooked fish and all the trimmings for our supper. It was delicious to this tired stressed mom. Love you too Curtis Williams! Thanks for all my fb friends for prayers. And sometimes you just have to laugh to keep from crying.
