Well I didnt get a ton of records in Louisville over the weekend, but it was sure quality over quantity--A live Harmonia LP from Modern Cult Records, Judy Mayhan Folk Songs of Old Eire (Peter Walker hyped her to me ages ago, seriously on par w/Anne briggs!), Brinsley Schwarz Silver Pistol (UK Sir Doug/Gram-style no frills country rock), Witthauser and Westrupp Bauer Plath (excellent German acid-folk, for super-cheap, an Lp ive never seen before) and the real killer is Jeremy Spencer and The Childrens s/t Lp, which is some incredible rootsy/spiritual psych-rocki somehow missed, up there with Relatively Clean Rivers, or Notorious Byrd Brothers, Beau Brummels Triangle, or even Out Here-era Love id say, easily the most overlooked of the early Fleetwood Mac-associated catalog. This epic cut is like Croz fronting the Groundhogs or something! Completely obsessed with this album. The religious cult-connections only add to the mystique!
