Well, I dont know about everyone else, but I was pretty satisfied with the nights results...save for Tommy and Peta getting saved over Lea and Artem of course. But can someone answer me this one question? Why is everyone so determined to hate Janel? It seems like every time I turn around its: oh, shes so arrogant, or theyre faking a romance to get votes, or that Janel is getting favored. Now I may not know much about ballroom dancing, but someone on Twitter literally said that she deserved to go home over Tommy, which I KNOW isnt true. I dont understand these stupid showmance accusations. When I watch their packages I see nothing but friendship. When I think showmance Im thinking Kelly and Val, Maks and Meryl, Cheryl and Ochocinco for crying out loud. Sure they tease each other (like the episode where they did the switch up) but theyre clearly not being serious; its all in good fun. Theres nothing to see through. They cant possibly deny any dating rumors or any romantic attraction to each other any more than theyve already done, so I really dont know what you all want from them. The kiss at the end of their dance was Americas choice, not theirs (if yall are sick of showmances, then why are you making them kiss?) And when has she ever displayed a single hint of arrogance? And as for her getting favored? The judges bashed her Burlesque, bashed her Viennese Waltz & Pitbull gave her Samba a 7. Someone said that Janel didnt deserve her tens because of Vals mishap (even though everyones always harping about the judges needing to judge the stars rather than the pros), which I suppose I can understand but Sadie literally admitted to missing an entire step in her trio and still got a perfect score (not that Im complaining). How is Janel getting favored? No one denies Sadie or Bethanys progress, but when it comes to Janel there is always a problem. She is a good dancer. The main reason her cumulative scores arent reflecting her talent is because of the pros actually. Her Burlesque choreography lacked Burlesque content (and whose fault is that? Artems. The CHOREOGRAPHER) and her Viennese Waltz lacked Viennese Waltz content (Vals fault). Im sorry, you all may disagree, and Im not trying to say shes better than Alfonso or Bethany or anything (before someone tries to jump down my throat)...but I think she deserves to go to the finals.
