Well I enjoyed Apples for Eggs today in Glen Gardens, part of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Dig In project. I took jars of dried apple rings, pear halves, dried plantain, beans for planting next spring, a loganberry and some compost. I took home hommous, 3 chutneys, raspberry vinegar, potatoes, flapjack, kale, 4 little sweetcorn cobs and half a dozen eggs. I was particularly happy when Sue Jewitt and I exchanged apples for eggs. I shouted BINGO, and someone took a photo to commemorate the eponymous occasion.....
