Well I figured I would update you all on the progress of my shoulder. At this point it is looking like, and I am preparing myself mentally for, needing to have arthroscopic surgery. May 24 I had a physical therapy session and my therapist let me know that our self insurer (my work place does not use L&I but self insures) had not approved the last set of 6 therapy sessions my Dr. wanted me to have. It took them about 2 1/2 weeks to get that approval so from May 24th to June 3rd (my therapists office had been trying for about a week to get approval) I had to wait for approval. Needless to say I am not happy about that. I feel I may have slid backwards. On the 3rd my therapists tried to continue from where we left off and progress in our therapy. It did not go well for me later that day. I hurt bad enough that I had to go home early. Over this last week I have ached more than any other time in my therapy, so much so that I actually asked to use ice on that first session and have been icing my shoulder even at work. Saturday night I was laying in bed and rolled my shoulder once and it popped, Ow! I rolled it again because I was just trying to find a comfortable spot for it and it popped again. The result was my arm went numb from forearm through index, middle finger and thumb with a pain in the front of the shoulder its self. As I explained all this to one of my therapists today she kind of concurred with the idea that I may be facing surgery to correct some issues.
