Well, I finally caught the second calf that came early....I think she was born maybe on the 1st or 2nd..Its a heifer also....We have named her Cinnamon...She was real easy to handle after we got the fear out of her.....They all think your going to kill them when you first catch them!....Can you believe we was lucky enough to catch this calf on 18 acres!....I had to find her first...Looked all over that field ( myself), while Carl stayed in the truck....After driving all over, I finally found her....I walked up to her really quiet, and said real softly well there you are....Well let me tell you, I thought she was a jack rabbit!..She jumped up so quick and took off like a bullet!... I tried to follow her... I found her again against the fence...This time I walked really slow, got about two feet from her and she jumped up again and took off running, this time right between Carls legs....So he caught her, I got a halter on her and we got her to the trailer....Mean time the momma is way up with the other four cows...Then she heard the calf let out a cry , and the momma came running and hollering....But we already had the calf in the trailer....Well, to make a long story short, we got the momma cow in the trailer, after a lot of work, along with another pregnant cow due next month, and brought them all home....Tagged and pulled tail hairs on Cinnamon, got everyone settled in for the night, so everyone is happy as little lambs....Was so relieved to get this cow/calf home....Here are a few pictures......Hope yall enjoy....
