Well, I got home from the hospital around 930 tonight so Drew and Landon can have some sense of normalcy in this crazy time. Justin helped do some dishes, a bit of laundry, and other house stuff. I then sit down, try to return all voicemails, texts (all of which we are very thankful for - if I missed some Im sorry) and then realize just how tired, drained, and stressed I am. And then I think about Milissa Page Hayden. She stayed at the hospital with Ryan Hayden again tonight. Trust me, there just isnt anyone in the world that is going to convince her to leave his side. She has been with him since 1pm Monday at the Murray ER, gets her way and rides in the ambulance from Murray to Paducah late yesterday afternoon, grills the spine surgeon at 1 am Tuesday, lovingly and patiently hovers over Ryan after his surgery all night, and still has the energy to provide that motherly eye to Ryans friends - particularly the female ones- that have come to see him today. Ever since I got the call and in turn call Milissa to get to the Murray ER as soon as possible, this woman has just been awesome. I cant begin to describe how grateful, thankful, and fortunate I am that Milissa is my wife and the mother of my children. She is undeniably the rock of our family in every sense. I love this woman.
