Well I got my letter in the mail yesterday from the City of Memphis telling me that as of January 1st they would no longer be paying part of my health insurance like they told me they would when I signed on 35 years ago. If Id known I was going to lose my retirement to healthcare Id still be a Memphis Firefighter or I never would have considered working there in the first place. Why would anybody be a firefighter or a police officer knowing they could never retire !!! By the way the last time I looked, me being pre 69 my insurance is around $1700 a month and I cannot insure my wife !!!!
